Essential oil blends

Five diffuser blends, from forest and floral to spice and mint citrus, about ten drops each in a water-based diffuser.

What You’ll Need

  • Forest blend: spruce oil, 5 drops; tea tree oil, 2 drops; eucalyptus oil, 2 drops; juniper berry oil, 1 drop
  • Soft floral blend: Roman chamomile oil, 5 drops; clary sage oil, 3 drops; lavender oil, 2 drops
  • Floral citrus blend: lavender oil, 4 drops; bergamot oil, 3 drops; geranium oil, 3 drops
  • Spice blend: lemongrass oil, 3 drops; thyme oil, 3 drops; clove oil, 3 drops
  • Mint citrus blend: peppermint oil, 5 drops; sweet orange oil, 3 drops; rosemary oil, 1 drop; cypress oil, 1 drop
  • Water-based diffuser

Directions

  • Fill the diffuser with water following its instructions.
  • Add one blend, about 10 drops, using more or less to suit the size of your diffuser.
  • Run the diffuser following its instructions.

Notes

Safety: tea tree, eucalyptus, peppermint, citrus, clove, pine/spruce and many others are toxic to cats and dogs; birds are especially sensitive. Diffuse in a ventilated room pets can leave, for short periods, and never apply oils to pets. Keep diffusers and bottles out of reach of children; eucalyptus and peppermint are not recommended around young children.
