Glue, water and baking soda whipped with shaving cream and set with contact solution into soft fluffy slime.
What You’ll Need
2/3CupWhite Elmer's Glue
1/2teaspoonBaking Soda
1/4CupWater
2-3CupsShaving Cream
1.5tablespoonsContact Lens Solution
Liquid Food Coloring
Directions
Pour the glue into a bowl.
Mix in the water and baking soda.
Mix in the shaving cream. More shaving cream gives fluffier slime; with 3 cups you may need more contact solution.
Stir in food coloring until you like the shade.
Add the contact solution slowly: 1 tablespoon first, knead for 5 minutes, then add the last 1/2 tablespoon. It stays very sticky while you knead; that is normal.
Still sticky: rub baby oil or lotion on your hands, or add more contact solution, a teaspoon at a time. Too much makes the slime hard and less stretchy.
Notes
The contact solution must list boric acid and sodium borate.Safety: NOT edible. Adult help; borate activator, so best for about age 6+ with supervision and hand washing after. Shaving cream stings eyes. Little kids: use the borax-free or edible slime instead.
