Guar gum, rubbing alcohol, baking powder, hot water and dish soap mixed for huge outdoor bubbles.
What You’ll Need
guar gum powder: 1 1/2 tablespoons
rubbing alcohol: 2-4 tablespoons
hot water: 3 gallons
baking powder: 2 tablespoons
Dawn Platinum dish soap: 20 ounces
Wands: hands, pipe cleaners bent into a loop, or two straws joined into a square
Directions
In a large bucket, stir the hot water and baking powder until no lumps remain.
In a separate bowl, stir the guar gum with just enough rubbing alcohol to make a smooth slurry you can pour.
Stir the water until a whirlpool forms, pour in the slurry, and keep stirring for a minute or two while it thickens a little.
Stir in the dish soap gently, so it doesn't foam. Leave it for 15 minutes.
Notes
Store in a sealed container and use as needed.
Safety: NOT edible. Adult makes the solution: hot water, and rubbing alcohol is flammable and poisonous if swallowed (keep it away from kids and flames). Label the bucket. Ground gets very slippery. Supervise toddlers around any bucket of liquid (drowning risk).
