Kool-Aid playdough

Playdough colored and scented with a packet of fruit drink mix, cooked on the stove until it forms a ball.

What You’ll Need

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup water
  • ¼ cup salt
  • 2 tablespoons cream of tartar
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 packet Kool Aid any flavor

Directions

  • Put all the ingredients in a small saucepan.
  • Cook over medium heat, stirring all the time, until the mixture forms a ball of dough.
  • Scoop it onto a floured surface and let it cool a bit. Once it is cool enough to touch, knead several times until smooth.
  • Let it cool all the way before playing.

Notes

Safety: NOT a food, even though it smells like drink mix, which can tempt little kids to taste it. Adult does the stovetop step. High salt; keep from dogs. Kool-Aid dye can stain hands, clothes and counters. Contains wheat.
