Cornstarch and water at about two to one: solid when squeezed, liquid when relaxed. A favorite science play.
What You’ll Need
Water
Cornstarch
Food coloringglitter (optional)
Ratio: 1 part water to 1.5 to 2 parts cornstarch
Directions
Put the water in first, then add the cornstarch bit by bit.
Stir for about 10 minutes until it is smooth and even.
For a firmer result, add more cornstarch.
If you like, stir in a few drops of food coloring or glitter.
Notes
Safety: Taste-safe ingredients but NOT a snack; supervise little ones. Skip glitter for young kids (eyes and mouths). Don't pour oobleck down the sink: it can clog drains. Let it dry and throw it in the trash.
