Total Time 5 minutesminutes
Servings 2cups
Citric acid, water and vinegar in a glass bottle. Fill the rinse-aid slot for spot-free glasses.
What You’ll Need
300g / 11 ounces of alcohol (cheap grain alcohol)
200g / 7 ounces of water
80g / 3 ounces of citric acid
Glass bottle
Directions
Warm the water in a saucepan and dissolve the citric acid in it.
Pour it into an empty glass bottle.
Stir in the alcohol.
Close the bottle and shake well.
Notes
Fill the rinse-aid dispenser. In a clear dispenser, a pinch of turmeric, mustard, or paprika adds color so you can see when to refill. Safety: add the alcohol only after the water is off the heat, because it's flammable. Label the bottle clearly; it looks like a drink but contains alcohol and acid, so store it away from kids.
