Epsom salt, fresh lemon and coconut oil in a jar. Scrub damp skin, rinse, and keep the jar dry between uses.
What You’ll Need
1cupEpsom Salt
1fresh Lemon
2TablespoonsExtra Virgin Coconut Oil
8ozStorage Jar
Directions
Put the Epsom salt and coconut oil in a medium bowl and stir with a fork until thoroughly blended.
Stir in the lemon zest.
Halve the lemon and squeeze the juice of the whole lemon into the bowl; pick out any seeds.
Stir with the fork until the scrub turns light and fluffy.
Scoop into a container with a tight seal, such as an 8 oz jar.
Notes
Place a small amount in your palm and apply to clean skin in the shower; avoid sensitive areas; scrub gently and rinse. Oil separates, so mix well before each use. Because it contains fresh juice, keep it in the fridge and use it within a few days to a week, and within a few weeks at most. Bottled lemon juice kept in the fridge may help it last. Safety: patch test; lemon on skin can cause sun sensitivity, so rinse well and avoid sun on treated skin; salt stings on broken or freshly shaved skin; oil makes the tub slippery.
