Cornstarch and cocoa powder mixed with warm water into a squishy mud for toy bugs and dinosaurs.

What You’ll Need

3 1/2 Cups of Cornstarch
1/2 Cup of Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
2 Cups of Warm Water
Tray plastic bugs

Directions

Mix the cornstarch and cocoa powder together in a bowl or on a tray.
Pour in the warm water slowly.
Stir well, adding more water if needed.
If it is too watery, thicken it with more cornstarch.
Pour it onto a tray and add plastic bugs.

Notes

Safety: Taste-safe ingredients but not a food; it is meant for play, not eating. Plastic bugs are a choking hazard under age 3; supervise. Cocoa is toxic to dogs, so keep pets away and clean up. Don't pour large amounts of cornstarch mix down the drain (it can clog); scrape into the trash.
