Dry the petals first by spreading them on newspaper or cardboard in a dry spot for several days.
Stir together the first eight ingredients.
Sprinkle the oils and orrisroot over the dry mix and stir well.
Put it in a covered jar and stir gently after 24 hours. Ideally, let it sit for a week up to a month, giving the jar a gentle shake every few days, until the scents blend together.
To scent a room, take the cover off the jar, and put it back on between uses so the potpourri regains its fragrance.
Notes
Also works in sachets. Not for eating; keep away from small children and pets (cloves, essential oils and some dried plants can be harmful if chewed). Orrisroot powder can irritate allergies.
