Flour, salt, hot water and oil kneaded into a dough for modeling, handprints and ornaments.

What You’ll Need

  • 4 cups flour
  • 1 cup salt
  • 1 ½ cups hot water
  • 2 teaspoons vegetable oil

Directions

  • Stir the salt and flour together.
  • Make a hollow in the middle; pour in the water, then the oil.
  • Knead, adding more flour or water as needed.
  • Roll it out and cut shapes with cookie cutters.

Notes

Safety: NOT edible. Very high in salt: keep raw dough and finished pieces away from dogs and cats (salt poisoning risk). Adult handles the hot water. Contains wheat.
