A big batch of vanilla pudding mix with a hint of nutmeg. Cook half a cup with milk for creamy pudding.

Ingredients

Mix

3 cups nonfat dry milk
4 cups sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 teaspoon salt
3 cups cornstarch

To make pudding

1/2 cup of the mix
2 cups milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

Stir the dry milk, sugar, nutmeg, salt, and cornstarch together until evenly mixed.
Spoon it into jars, close them, and attach the directions.

Notes

For pudding, whisk 1/2 cup mix with 2 cups milk in a saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until it boils and thickens. Let it cool a little, then stir in the vanilla. Store the mix airtight in a cool, dry place.
