Start Seeds Indoors

Fill clean containers with seed-starting mix, not garden soil, which packs down and can carry disease. Moisten the mix before sowing, plant seeds at a depth of about twice their width and cover with plastic to hold humidity. Remove the cover as soon as sprouts appear.
