What You’ll Need
Homemade Glue
- 3/4 cup water
- 2 tablespoons corn syrup
- 1 teaspoon white vinegar
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 3/4 cup cold water
Homemade Paste
- 1/2 cup flour
- cold water (until as thick as cream)
- food coloring (optional)
No-Cook Paste
- 1/2 cup flour
- water (enough for a gooey but not runny mixture)
- a pinch of salt
Equipment
- saucepan
- mixing bowl
Directions
Glue
- Put the 3/4 cup water, corn syrup, and vinegar in a small saucepan and bring to a full rolling boil.
- In a bowl, stir the cornstarch into the 3/4 cup cold water.
- Slowly pour the cornstarch mixture into the hot mixture, stirring all the time, until it boils again. Boil for 1 minute, then take it off the heat.
- When it is cool, pour it into another container and leave it overnight before using.
Paste
- Stir cold water into the flour until it is as thick as cream.
- Simmer in a saucepan for 5 minutes, stirring.

No-Cook Paste

- Add a pinch of salt and stir.
