Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons powdered apple cider drink mix
  • 2 teaspoons sweetened cherry-flavored powdered drink mix
  • 1/2 teaspoon unsweetened instant tea
  • 1 teaspoon powdered French vanilla coffee creamer (optional)
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/16 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 1/32 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 8 ounces very hot water for serving

Equipment

  • zip-top bags
  • mug

Directions

  1. Put all the dry ingredients, including the creamer if you are using it, in a small zip-top bag.
  2. Close the bag and shake until well mixed.
  3. To give as a gift, set the sealed bag in a mug lined with tissue paper and add a tag with the serving directions.

Notes

Gift tag: empty the whole mix into a mug, add 8 ounces of very hot water, stir well 20 to 30 seconds, and enjoy. Drink right away; some spice flecks are normal, stir again before the last sips. Store dry mix sealed in a cool, dry place; use within about 6 months. Refrigerate any leftover drink and use within 1 day.
