What You’ll Need

  • 1 Half-Gallon Mason Jar or other large container
  • 4 cups water (warm water works best)
  • 1 cup dish soap
  • 3 Tablespoons glycerin
  • ¼ cup corn syrup or sugar

Equipment

  • mason jars

Directions

  1. Pour the water, soap, glycerin, and corn syrup or sugar into a half-gallon Mason jar.
  2. Stir slowly and gently, because hard stirring makes thick foam.
  3. Cover the jar and leave it overnight before using.
  4. To use, pour some into baking pans (handy for toddlers, who would empty a bottle fast).

Notes

Equal parts corn syrup can replace the glycerin.
Safety: NOT edible. Supervise little ones so they don’t drink it, and rinse eyes with water if splashed. Wet soap makes patios and decks slippery. A glass jar can break; a plastic jug is safer around small kids.
