Ingredients

  • Mix: 1 2/3 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup soy flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated honey crystals
  • 1 1/8 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons beef or chicken boullion
  • To bake: 1 cup peanut butter; 3/4 cup milk

Equipment

  • mason jars
  • mixing bowl
  • baking sheet

Directions

  1. Stir all the dry ingredients together and pour into a pint jar.
  2. Attach the baking directions on a gift tag.

Notes

To bake: heat oven to 400 degrees F. Empty the jar into a large bowl; add 1 cup peanut butter and 3/4 cup milk and stir well. Knead on a floured surface, roll 1/4-inch thick, cut into shapes, place 1 inch apart on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake 15 minutes or until lightly browned.
Most bouillon contains onion and/or garlic and a lot of salt, which aren’t safe for dogs; leave it out or use a dog-safe, onion- and garlic-free broth powder. Treats are extras, not meals.
