Ingredients

Bang Bang sauce
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp sriracha (less for a milder version)
  • 2 tbsp Thai sweet chili sauce
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp paprika
Shrimp
  • 6–8 large shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 1 tsp avocado oil divided
  • ¼ tsp paprika
  • ⅛ tsp garlic powder
  • ⅛ tsp salt

Equipment

  • skillet
  • mixing bowl

Directions

  1. For the sauce, stir together the mayonnaise, sriracha, sweet chili sauce, ¼ teaspoon of garlic powder, and ¼ teaspoon of paprika. Set it aside.
  2. In another bowl, toss the shrimp with ½ teaspoon of the oil, the remaining ¼ teaspoon of paprika, the ⅛ teaspoon of garlic powder, and the salt.
  3. Heat the other ½ teaspoon of oil in an 8-inch skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the shrimp for 2 to 3 minutes per side, until pink and opaque.
  4. Move the shrimp to a bowl and toss with 1 to 2 tablespoons of the sauce.

Notes

The sauce makes about ½ cup, more than one serving needs. Keep the rest in the fridge for dipping.
