Make a soft gel ice pack

Pour 3 parts water and 1 part rubbing alcohol into a zip-top freezer bag, seal it, slip it inside a second bag, and freeze. The alcohol keeps it from freezing solid, so it bends around a bump or bruise; more alcohol makes it softer. Wrap it in a thin cloth before it touches skin, and label the bag so nobody mistakes it for food.
