What You’ll Need

  • 55 g cocoa butter
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil
  • 20 drops lavender essential oil
  • 1 tbsp dried lavender flowers
  • Small pot with a pour spout (Turkish coffee pot) spatula, clean dry silicone ice cube tray or candy mold

Equipment

  • saucepan

Directions

  1. Melt the cocoa butter and coconut oil together in the small pot over medium-low heat, stirring constantly so they melt without getting too hot.
  2. Stir in the 20 drops of lavender essential oil.
  3. Pour into the clean, dry mold right away.
  4. Scatter the dried lavender buds evenly over the hot oil (dried, not fresh).
  5. Chill for two hours; once fully cooled, pop out of the mold.

Notes

Drop one or two melts into a hot bath and soak for at least 20 minutes. Store them in the refrigerator, a cool spot, or the freezer so they don't melt. The oils make the tub slippery, so step out carefully and wipe the tub after draining. Safety: do a patch test first. Hot oil burns, so keep kids back while you work. Flower buds can clog drains, so use a drain strainer.
