What You’ll Need

  • 3 Tbsp. French green clay
  • 2 Tbsp. organic spirulina powder
  • 2 Tbsp. organic kelp powder
  • 2 tsp. organic lavender flower powder
  • Optional: a couple drops lavender essential oil (or geranium, cypress or tea tree), used sparingly
  • To mix each mask: aloe vera gel, hydrosols, or distilled water
  • 4-oz. jar label

Equipment

  • mason jars

Directions

  1. Put all the dry ingredients in the 4-oz. jar and shake well to blend.
  2. Put a label on the jar.

Notes

Put 1 tablespoon of the dry mix in a bowl; add 1-2 teaspoons of liquid slowly and mix to a smooth, spreadable paste (not drippy). Apply to clean skin, leave 10-15 minutes, remove with a warm damp washcloth, finish with cool water, then toner and moisturizer. Mix only one mask at a time and discard leftover wet paste. clay can be drying for some skin types. Safety: patch test; keep out of eyes; avoid breathing clay dust; tea tree oil is toxic to pets; seaweed powders may not suit people with iodine sensitivity.
