What You’ll Need

  • 3/4 cup baking soda (slightly heaped)
  • 1/4 cup Castile soap
  • 2 Tablespoons water
  • Lidded plastic or glass container

Equipment

  • mixing bowl

Directions

  1. Stir the baking soda and soap together into a paste.
  2. Pour in the water and stir well.
  3. Keep in a container with a lid.

Notes

Squirt onto a sponge, scrub, then rinse well with water. It can harden over time — stir in a little water to loosen.
Safety: test on delicate surfaces (it’s mildly abrasive). Don’t mix castile soap with vinegar in the same container (it curdles), and never use with bleach. Label it so it isn’t mistaken for food or lotion; keep from kids.
