Ingredients

  • 1 cup powdered milk or powdered oat milk or coconut milk
  • ⅔ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ⅔ cup powdered sugar or erythritol, allulose, or monk fruit
  • ¼ cup packed light brown sugar or brown Swerve
  • 3 Tbsp butter powder (dairy-free butter powder, or 2 Tbsp coconut oil powder)
  • ¼ cup mini chocolate chips (dairy-free chips)
  • ¼ tsp fine sea salt
  • 2 tsp vanilla powder

Equipment

  • mixing bowl
  • whisk
  • mason jars

Directions

  1. No separate mixing steps were copied; the notes say to layer the mix in a clear half-pint jar for gifting, or mix fully and store in a sealed quart jar. May be incomplete.

Notes

Combine ¼ to ½ cup of mix with 1 cup of hot milk or water; stir until smooth. Optional: whipped cream, caramel drizzle, a tiny pinch of salt. Keep sealed, cool and dry. Dutch-process cocoa gives the smoothest flavor; keep away from steam since milk powder clumps. Safety: contains dairy powders (milk, butter powder) unless the dairy-free swaps are used.
