  • Blueberry Pupsicles: 1 cup of blueberries; 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • Chicken Pupsicles: 1 cup of low-sodium chicken stock; ½ cup of water; ¼ cup of chopped cooked, unseasoned chicken meat
  • Pumpkin Pupsicles: ¾ cup of 100% pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie filling); ½ cup plain Greek yogurt
  • Banana Pupsicles: 2 bananas; ¼ cup peanut butter (no xylitol)
  • Watermelon Pupsicles: 2 cups of seedless watermelon diced; ¾ cup of plain Greek yogurt
  • Carrot and Bacon Pupsicles: ½ cup of shredded carrot; 2 slices of bacon cooked and crumbled; 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • Apple and Peanut Butter Pupsicles: 1 cup of peanut butter (dog-safe brand); 1 cup plain Greek yogurt; 1 apple cut into chunks

Equipment

  • blender

Directions

  1. Mix or blend the ingredients for the flavor you chose. Purée fruit first; for watermelon, layer the purée with a spoonful of yogurt, and for apple, set a chunk of apple in each mold.
  2. Pour into molds or an ice cube tray.
  3. Freeze until solid.

Notes

Baby carrots or dog treats can stand in for popsicle sticks. Safety: no xylitol in peanut butter; fruit is high in sugar, so serve in moderation. Use plain, unsweetened yogurt; choose stock with no onion or garlic. Remove apple seeds and core. Bacon is fatty and salty, occasional only.
