  • 1 C. (1 oz.) cooked lean turkey cut into strips

  • 2 oz. Swiss cheese cut into thin strips
  • 4 C. chopped Romaine lettuce bite-sized pieces
  • 4 Tbs. Parmesan Vinaigrette
Dressing
  • ¼ C. (2 small) freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 3 Tbs. finely grated Parmesan cheese

  • 6 Tbs. light olive or canola oil

Equipment

  • cutting board
  • chef’s knife

Directions

  1. Put all the dressing ingredients in a cruet or pint jar, close the lid and shake hard until blended. Set aside.
  2. Set the four wide-mouth jars in a row with the lids off. Pour 1 tablespoon vinaigrette into the bottom of each. Split each salad ingredient into four equal portions.
  3. Build each jar in this order: tomato, cucumber, ham, turkey, egg, cheddar, Swiss, with lettuce on top. Close tightly and refrigerate.
  4. To serve, check the lid is tight, turn the jar upside down to rest on its lid a few minutes so the dressing drips through, turn upright, open and eat.
