Ingredients

  • 1 (15-oz) can black beans rinsed/drained
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 2 Tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 Tbsp white wine vinegar
  • ½ tsp ground cumin
  • ⅛ tsp salt
  • ⅛ tsp coarse black pepper

Equipment

  • food processor

Directions

  1. Blend everything in a small food processor or blender until creamy, scraping down the sides as needed.
  2. Spoon into a bowl and serve as a dip or spread. If it’s too thick, add a splash of water or oil.

Notes

This makes about ¾ cup. Chilling it for 30 minutes gives the flavors time to blend.
