What You’ll Need
- 2/3 cup salt of your choice: Himalayan pink salt epsom salt, or coarse sea salt
- 1/4 cup baking soda
- 10-25 drops organic essential oil of your choice: lavender spruce, rosemary, geranium, peppermint, sweet orange, sandalwood, frankincense
Equipment
- mixing bowl
- mason jars
Directions
- Stir the salt and baking soda together until blended.
- Add the essential oil a drop at a time and stir thoroughly.
- As hot water runs into the tub, sprinkle in 1/4 to 1/2 cup. When the salts have dissolved, climb in and soak.
Notes
Aromatic bath oil: 4 oz organic carrier oil (jojoba, rosehip seed, kukui nut or sweet almond) plus 20 to 40 drops skin-friendly essential oil; roll the bottle to blend; add 1/4 ounce to a filled tub and swirl well. Research the essential oil you use, as some are safer than others on skin. Safety: patch test; not for broken skin; sweet orange can cause sun sensitivity; peppermint, rosemary and some others are not for pregnancy, babies, young children or pets; bath oil makes the tub slippery.
