What You’ll Need

  • 1 cup Epsom salt
  • 1/2 cup sea salt
  • 1/3 cup organic mustard seed powder (or grind your own organic whole mustard seeds)
  • 1/4 cup baking soda
  • 1 Tbsp. organic ginger root powder
  • 1 tsp. organic cinnamon powder
  • 15 drops organic lavender essential oil
  • 5 drops organic eucalyptus essential oil
  • 5 drops organic rosemary essential oil
  • 3 drops organic ginger essential oil

Equipment

  • mixing bowl
  • mason jars

Directions

  1. Stir all the ingredients together until fully blended.
  2. Spoon into a dry, airtight bottle or jar.

Notes

Add about 1/4 to 1/2 cup to running warm water and soak 15 to 20 minutes (less for sensitive skin). Shower to rinse off, then rinse out the tub. Store dry and airtight; it lasts about 6 months.
For sensitive skin, use less mustard and essential oil, and watch how your skin feels. Don’t use these salts to bathe small children.
Safety: mustard, cinnamon, and ginger are warming and can irritate, so do a patch test and keep it out of your eyes. Eucalyptus and rosemary oils are not for pets, and check with your doctor during pregnancy.
