What You’ll Need

  • White distilled vinegar (half the reservoir)
  • Water (the other half — a 50/50 solution)
  • Large mug microfiber cloth

Equipment

  • pitcher

Directions

  1. Empty the reservoir and take out any K-cup and the water filter; put a large mug on the drip tray.
  2. Fill the reservoir halfway with vinegar and the rest of the way with water.
  3. Brew with no pod on the largest setting, pouring out the mug each time, until the reservoir is empty.
  4. Leave it for about 30 minutes.
  5. Fill with fresh water again and run cycles until you cannot smell vinegar and the water runs clear.
  6. Wipe the outside, the drip tray and the pod holder.
  7. Put the filter back, fill with fresh water, and run one last cycle.
