What You’ll Need

  • 8 oz microwavable soy wax
  • .5 oz essential oils
  • Herbs
  • Microwave; heatproof container with a pour spout; kitchen scale; silicone molds (flowers or cubes)

Equipment

  • microwave-safe bowl

Directions

  1. Weigh the soy wax into a microwave-safe bowl and the essential oils into a paper cup.
  2. Microwave the wax in 20-second bursts, stirring after each one.
  3. Once it is fully melted, stir in the essential oils and herbs.
  4. Pour into silicone molds, scatter herbs on top, and let them dry completely before use.

Notes

Safety: hot wax burns; keep kids away while melting and pouring. Use melts only in a wax warmer made for them and never leave it unattended. Melts look like candy: label and store out of reach of children and pets. Many essential oils are toxic to cats and dogs when diffused; warm them away from pets, in a ventilated room.
