What You’ll Need

  • Small glass jar such as a salsa jar or Mason jar
  • Washi tape in two widths or masking tape
  • Mod Podge
  • Glitter in red green, and silver
  • Craft tool: utility knife

Equipment

  • mason jars
  • paintbrush
  • scissors

Directions

  1. Wash the glass jar well and peel off any labels.
  2. Stick strips of tape around the jar, alternating thin and thick, with each one slanting slightly downward on a diagonal.
  3. Pour some silver glitter onto your work surface.
  4. Work in small sections and brush Mod Podge over the areas of the jar not covered by tape.
  5. While the glue is still wet, roll each glued section in the silver glitter. Do the same all the way around the jar, then leave it to dry.
  6. Carefully peel off just the thicker strips of tape. Sweep away any stray silver glitter.
  7. Pour green glitter onto a clean work surface.
  8. With a small brush, spread Mod Podge over the bare glass, one small section at a time.
  9. Roll each glued section in the green glitter. Continue around the whole jar, then leave it to dry.
  10. Do steps 7 through 9 again with red glitter.

Notes

Use an LED tea light inside; glitter is not for toddlers.
