What You’ll Need

  • Smooth Sided Mason Jars (Pint & Quarts)
  • Snowflake stamp (rubber stamp)
  • Paint: chalking paint for the jar surface, and white craft paint for the snowflakes
  • Paint brush

Equipment

  • mason jars
  • paintbrush

Directions

  1. Give the jars two coats of paint and let them dry.
  2. Lightly distress the paint near the rim and over the small Ball lettering.
  3. Dip the stamp into white paint and dab it once on a paper plate. Press it straight down on the jar without rolling. Each dip makes about two snowflakes.
  4. Add dots with a paint brush.

Notes

A fully painted jar lets little light through; for a luminary, LED tea lights only.
