What You’ll Need

  • Mason jar
  • Gold spray paint
  • White chalky paint (Country Chic Simplicity)
  • Gold wax (Country Chic gold wax)
  • Slightly damp rag
  • Round brush (for the wax)

Equipment

  • mason jars
  • paintbrush

Directions

  1. Spray the mason jar with gold paint and let it dry completely.
  2. Paint the jar with the white chalky paint and let it dry for about 30 minutes.
  3. Rub a slightly damp rag over the raised edges and the areas around them to distress the paint and show some of the gold underneath.
  4. Brush gold wax over the whole jar with the round brush, then buff it off. (More wax gives deeper color but stays a little sticky for a while.)

Notes

Spray paint outdoors. Painted jars are decor only, not for food.
