Ingredients

  • Lime slices
  • Orange slices
  • Fresh or frozen cranberries
  • 3/4 cup cranberry juice
  • 3/4 cup orange juice
  • 3/4 cup water

Equipment

  • mixing bowl

Directions

  1. Arrange lime and orange slices in the ring mold in layers, tucking cranberries in between.
  2. Stir the cranberry juice, orange juice, and water together and pour over the fruit.
  3. Freeze until solid, about 6 hours.
  4. To release it, hold the mold under a little warm water.
  5. Set the ice ring afloat in the punch.

Notes

Uses alcohol: the punch adds vodka and orange liqueur to the remaining juices plus ginger ale. The ice ring itself is alcohol-free and works in any juice punch. Using juice instead of plain water keeps the punch from watering down as it melts.
