Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 teaspoons black pepper
  • 3 tablespoons onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 5 teaspoons salt
  • 2 tablespoons dried parsley flakes
  • 1 2/3 cups non-fat dry milk powder
  • 1/3 cup chopped dry onions
  • 3 1/3 tablespoons beef bouillon granules

Equipment

  • zip-top bags
  • mason jars

Directions

  1. Add all the ingredients to a large zip-top bag, close it, and shake until well combined.
  2. Pour into a clean spice jar, mason jar, or vacuum-sealed bag.
  3. Shake before each use, since the milk powder and bouillon settle.

Notes

Start with a few tablespoons per casserole (2 to 4 tablespoons for a 9×13 dish); taste before baking and before adding extra salt, since the bouillon and milk powder are already salty. Dry mix airtight in a cool, dry cupboard up to 6 months; do not freeze. Refrigerate leftover casserole within 2 hours; use within 3 to 4 days.
