Ingredients

  • 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 ½ cups white chocolate chips
  • 1 ¼ cups sugar cookie mix (dry mix, heat-treated)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Christmas sprinkles or sprinkles of your choice

Equipment

  • stockpot
  • baking sheet
  • 9×9-inch pan

Directions

  1. Line a 9×9 baking dish with parchment paper and coat lightly with non-stick spray.
  2. Warm the condensed milk in a large pot over medium heat, stirring often. When it is hot, stir in the white chocolate chips, sugar cookie mix, and butter, and keep stirring until smooth. Take the pot off the heat.
  3. Stir in a generous amount of sprinkles.
  4. Pour into the dish and scatter more sprinkles on top.
  5. Refrigerate until firm, overnight or at least 2 hours, then slice into bite-size pieces.

Notes

Safety: the dry cookie mix (raw flour) is heat-treated to 165°F first. Microwave in 30-second increments, stirring between, no more than about 2 minutes total; or toast on a baking sheet at 350°F for 5 minutes or until 165°F on an instant-read thermometer. Store airtight at room temperature up to 1 week, or refrigerate up to 3 weeks.
