Buttery Three-Color Salt Scrub Cubes

Cocoa and avocado butters with Epsom salt, split into three scents and colors and chilled in a cube mold. Rub one on wet skin or crumble into a bath.
What You’ll Need
- 2.5 oz cocoa butter pastilles
- 4 oz avocado butter
- 0.7 oz polysorbate 80
- 2 mL each Dark Crystal Rose Quartz and Emerald Agave fragrance oils
- 16 oz extra-fine Epsom salt
- small amounts of cosmetic lavender rose and green micas
Equipment
- double boiler
- mixing bowl
- mason jars
Directions
Make the mix
- Gently melt the cocoa and avocado butters together, then mix in the polysorbate.
- Stir in the Epsom salt and split into three batches.
- To each batch, add one fragrance and the matching mica.
- Pack tightly into a silicone cube mold and chill until hard.
- Pop the cubes out and keep them in a dry wide-mouth jar.
To use
- Rub one cube over wet skin, or crumble it into running bathwater.
Notes
Ensure molded cubes are firm before jarring; use caution because butters may make surfaces slippery.
