What You’ll Need

  • 3 tbsp. Powdered Goat Milk
  • 2 tbsp. Grade 1 Lavender Buds
  • 2 tbsp. Colloidal Oatmeal
  • 5 tbsp. Extra Fine Epsom Salt
  • 2 mL Lavender 40/42 Essential Oil
  • 1 mL Chamomile Essential Oil
  • 8 oz. bail jar 5 large sealable tea bags (more for the full jar), droppers, gloves, iron (to seal bags)

Equipment

  • mixing bowl
  • mason jars

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, stir the Epsom salt together with the lavender and chamomile essential oils (wear gloves and mix by hand).
  2. When the oils are completely worked into the salt, add the powdered goat milk, breaking up lumps with your fingers.
  3. Mix in the colloidal oatmeal and lavender buds.
  4. When everything is fully blended, pack it into the 8 oz. bail jar.
  5. For tea bags, fill each large sealable tea bag with about 1 to 2 tablespoons, leaving lots of empty room, and close by ironing the seal.

Notes

Put a tea bag in the bath and move it back and forth to release the ingredients. Safety: 3 mL of essential oil is a strong amount for this small batch, so mix very thoroughly; chamomile can bother people with ragweed allergy; goat milk is a dairy allergen; keep dry; patch test.
