Baking soda with dried lavender to sprinkle on a mattress or carpet, then vacuum away.
What You’ll Need
- 2 cups baking soda
- 1 tablespoon dried herbs (lavender buds)
- Up to 20 drops essential oil (optional)
Equipment
- mixing bowl
- mason jars
Directions
- Whisk the baking soda, dried lavender, and essential oil together in a bowl.
- Spoon it into a jar with a shaker lid.
Notes
Sprinkle it over the mattress or carpet, wait 15 minutes to an hour, then vacuum it up with the upholstery attachment. Keep the jar closed and dry. Many essential oils are unsafe for pets, so leave them out if you have cats.
