What You’ll Need

  • 500 ml white vinegar
  • 20 drops lemon orange, or grapefruit essential oil
  • Olive oil or coconut oil (small amount, for shine)
  • Glass spray bottle; three cotton non-scratch cloths

Equipment

  • spray bottle

Directions

  1. Put the essential oil in the spray bottle.
  2. Pour in the vinegar and attach the trigger sprayer.

Notes

Shake, spray, wait a few seconds, and wipe with the grain. Let vinegar soak on stuck food (no baking soda — it cancels the vinegar). For shine, buff in a little olive or coconut oil with a dry cloth, then wipe off residue. Keeps six months or more; discard if it looks or smells off.
Safety: label it and keep from kids and pets; never mix vinegar with bleach or hydrogen peroxide; don’t use on granite, quartz, marble or other stone, or on metallic paint. Clean any reused bottle well first.
