What You’ll Need

  • 1 tsp natural hair conditioner
  • 1 Tbsp white vinegar
  • 2 cups filtered or distilled water
  • Spray bottle funnel; optional few drops colorless essential oil

Equipment

  • spray bottle
  • funnel

Directions

  1. Use a funnel to pour the conditioner, vinegar and water into a spray bottle.
  2. Put on the cap and shake.

Notes

Set the nozzle to mist and lightly dampen (don’t soak) wrinkled areas; wait a minute or two, gently tug the fabric smooth, and let dry before wearing (a minute in the dryer helps). Works on dress shirts and most synthetics, not jeans or heavy fabric; test velvet underneath first. Variation: skip the conditioner and vinegar and replace 1 cup of the water with 1 cup homemade fabric softener. It keeps for months. Shake before use.
Safety: test on silk and delicate fabrics for water spots; label the bottle.
