Ingredients

  • 3 Tablespoons coconut oil
  • 1 Tablespoon organic cane sugar (up to 3 T per batch if you like it very sweet)
  • 1/2 cup popcorn kernels
  • Salt optional

Equipment

  • popcorn popper

Directions

  1. Set a stovetop popcorn popper over low heat and melt the oil and sugar, turning the handle.
  2. When the sugar has dissolved into the oil, close the lid and turn the heat up to medium.
  3. Keep turning the handle the entire time so the kernels do not stick or burn.
  4. When the popping stops, it is done. Pour it out carefully while holding the lid in place (steam will escape).
  5. If you like, drizzle with melted butter.
