Henna

Henna is a plant dye. It comes out best when treated fresh and cold.

  1. Try this first

Cold water, then a mild brightener

Rinse from the back with cold water (warm or hot water can set it) and blot, do not rub. Dab with white vinegar or 3 percent hydrogen peroxide mixed half and half with water, let it sit 15 to 30 minutes, rinse and launder. Keep it out of the dryer until the color is gone.

Peroxide can lighten colors, so test a hidden spot first. Old henna may never come out completely.

Still there? Try the all-purpose ways or pick another stain.
