Food

Pudding

Pudding is a protein stain (like egg, milk and blood), so start with cool water, never hot.

  1. Try this first

    Cold soak, then detergent

Soak in cold water for about 30 minutes. Work a little liquid laundry detergent, shampoo or dish liquid into the stain and leave it about 30 minutes. Rinse.

  2. Then try

    Overnight pre-soak

Soak overnight in a laundry pre-soak such as Biz or Axion. It is very good for milk, egg, blood and perspiration. If you have no pre-soak powder, use any laundry detergent. Then wash in the hottest water that is safe for the fabric.

Test any stain remover on a hidden seam or hem first, and check the care label.

  3. Then try

    An enzyme soak

Pretreat or soak the stain in a product with enzymes for at least 30 minutes, or several hours for an aged stain. Then launder.

Check the care label and test a hidden spot first. Do not put the item in the dryer until the stain is gone.

Still there? Try the all-purpose ways or pick another stain.
