Chewing gum on wood furniture

Freeze the gum so it breaks off clean.

  1. Try this first

    Ice, then plastic

Hold ice in a plastic bag on the gum until it is hard. Lift the brittle gum with the edge of a plastic card or a dull spoon. Wipe the leftover with only the foam of mild soapy water on a barely damp cloth and dry at once.

Do not scrape through the finish, and skip solvents unless the furniture maker approves.

Still there? Try the all-purpose ways or pick another stain.
