Glue

Glue is a glue stain.

  1. Try this first

    Water, then detergent and vinegar

Sponge with water. Apply a mild liquid dish detergent solution with a few drops of white vinegar, cover with a pad dampened with it and let it stand 30 minutes or more, blotting every 5 minutes with a fresh pad. Flush with water.

Test any stain remover on a hidden seam or hem first, and check the care label.

  2. Then try

Rubbing alcohol, then an enzyme product

If glue is left, apply rubbing alcohol on a pad and change the pad as it picks up glue, then flush. Then cover with a pad moistened with an enzyme product, keep it warm and moist for 30 minutes and flush with water.

Rubbing alcohol can take dye out of fabric. Enzymes are not for silk or wool.
