Ink and marker on wood furniture

Start with the mildest thing and work up.

  1. Try this first

    Damp cloth and mild soap

Wipe with a cloth dampened with warm water and a drop of dish soap, then dry.

  2. Then try

Baking soda paste, then a little alcohol

Rub gently with a paste of baking soda and a few drops of water. For stubborn pen ink, dab a cotton swab of rubbing alcohol on the mark only, then wipe and dry.

Alcohol can dull or lift a finish. Test somewhere hidden, and rewax or polish after.

Still there? Try the all-purpose ways or pick another stain.
