Red clay and baseball dirt

Ball-field dirt gets into everything. Treat it before it ever sees the dryer.

  1. Try this first

    Rinse and pretreat

Rinse with cool water. Saturate the stain with an enzyme pre-treat spray or liquid laundry detergent and let it sit 10 to 15 minutes. Rinse.

Test any stain remover on a hidden seam or hem first, and check the care label.

  2. Then try

A hot oxygen bleach soak, overnight

For heavily stained areas, soak overnight in hot water with a scoop of oxygen bleach, then wash according to the care label.

Do not put the garment in the dryer until the stain is gone. Heat sets stains.

Still there? Try the all-purpose ways or pick another stain.
