Lily pollen on clothes and fabric

Do not wipe it or add water first. Wiping and wetting drive the orange in.

  1. Try this first

    Lift it off dry

Shake the pollen off outdoors, then lift what is left with a strip of sticky tape pressed lightly and pulled away. Or snip the pollen-bearing anthers off the flowers before they open.

  2. Then try

    Then treat the mark

Pretreat any orange left with liquid laundry stain remover or dish soap, wash as the label allows, and look at the spot before drying. Sunlight helps fade the last of it.

Lily pollen is very dangerous to cats, even a little on fur they lick off. Keep cats away from lilies and from the cloths you used.
